Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is located at the heart of the southern part of Viet Nam, between the northern edge of the Mekong Delta and the South-East region of volcanic red soil. Being a transformation between the two terrains, Ho Chi Minh City is intertwined with natural forest, vast plains, long coast and hundreds of rivers and canals. The Saigon River winds around the city and connect it with the East Sea. It is nicknamed "Pearl of the Far East."
Nowadays, Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam, a major hub for commercial, tourist and cultural activities. It's the mesmerizing gateway to Vietnam where traditional and modern influences live side by side. High-rises loom over shabby French colonial villas; conical-hatted street vendors plod past karaoke bars and glitzy shops.
Check in the hotel and rest of the day is free at leisure.
In the evening, we recommend to walk in and aroun Bui Ven Street [BACK PACKERS STREET] Bui Vien Street is the main street of the so called ‘backpackers’ area of Ho Chi Minh City. Here you find a wide variety of inexpensive restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and hotels/hostels. While being seated at one of the places you can soak up the local lifestyle and culture. You can shop, dine and party on Bui Vien Street.
On Bui Vien street you also find many bars that offer drinks with a view of the busy city life. Depending on the location you can have a beer for VND 10.000 to VND 80.000 (US$ 0.5-3). Besides this there are many souvenir shops that sell affordable gifts ranging from paintings, statues to clothing and bags. As this is the heart of the city centre it can easily be reached by foot or taxi and almost all locals in here speak English. It gets busiest from early evening, around 18:00, with the many bars and pubs popular until 02:00 or even later.

Day 04 - HO CHI MINH CITY - CU CHI TUNNELS & HD CITY TOUR (B)
Breakfast at hotel.
Enjoy a 02-hour drive northwest of Saigon, through urbanized areas and typical lush Southern Vietnamese countryside to the famous Cu Chi tunnels. The tunnel complex was initially constructed in 1948 to protect the Viet Cong guerrillas from French air and ground sweeps. The tunnels also served as communication routes, storage facilities for food and weapon caches as well as hospitals and living quarters for guerrilla fighters throughout the Vietnam War. A visit to the underground villages provides a great understanding of the hardship of life in the tunnels and the Vietnamese resilience during combat.
Later, visit War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica – the biggest church of the city, Saigon Post Office – the main post office of Ho Chi Minh city which was built in 1800s with Gothic, Renaissance and French Colonial fusion. Finish your city tour by visiting Ben Thanh Market.
Return to the hotel.
Tonight in the evening we suggest cocktail at Rooftop Sky Bar. When it comes to nightlife in Ho Chi Minh City, there’s no better place to party in style than a sleek rooftop bar. Offering panoramic views of the vibrant city and beyond, Saigon’s rooftop bars are rated as
some of the best in the world. From the colonial charm of Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar to the ultra-modern EON Heli Bar, rooftop bars in Ho Chi Minh City cater to just about any mood and style. Attracting a steady clientele of expats, celebrities as well as affluent locals and tourists, drinks and food served at rooftop bars here are unsurprisingly on the pricier side. Nonetheless, with excellent service, stylish ambience, and lively crowd, a night out (or two) at Ho Chi Minh’s most popular rooftop bars is well worth the extra expense.
